Delete your SendIt account
Last updated 28 September 2026
You can delete your SendIt account, made by SendIt Bouldering Limited, at any time. Here’s how, and exactly what happens to your information.
In the app
- Open SendIt and go to Settings → Account → Delete my account.
- Read what will be deleted and what will stay.
- If you’re the only admin of a Circle that has other members, choose whether to hand it to someone or delete it.
- Confirm it’s you, by signing in with Google again or using an email link.
- Type DELETE and confirm.
It usually finishes within a few minutes. If it’s interrupted, the app carries on where it left off, and our servers finish the job automatically. The app also clears SendIt’s data from your phone. Photos and videos in your phone’s own gallery aren’t touched.
Without the app
Email support@senditbouldering.com from the email address you use for SendIt, with “Delete my account” in the subject and your username. We’ll check the request comes from the account’s owner, delete the account within 30 days, and email you when it’s done.
Uninstalling the app doesn’t delete your account or the data kept with it.
What’s deleted
- Your profile, username search entry, photo and bio.
- Your cloud copy of your logbook: climbs, sessions, gyms, notes, goals and achievements.
- Your backed-up videos and photos, your posted clips (public and private), and everything in your Trash.
- Your posts, comments, bumps, likes and reactions, plans you created, and your friends and friend requests.
- Circles where you’re the only member. You leave every other Circle.
- Your notifications, the codes used to send them, whether you were at a gym, and your blocks.
- Your feedback reports and screenshots, and the matching entries in our bug tracker.
What stays, and why
- Messages you sent in direct messages and Circle chat become “Message deleted” placeholders from “Account deleted”. Their text and attachments are removed from the app and stored notification history. Already-delivered notifications and copies saved by other people cannot be recalled.
- Your username stays reserved, so nobody else can take it and pretend to be you.
- A deleted-account record of your account ID and the deletion itself, kept permanently so the account can’t be brought back by an old sign-in.
- Gyms and shared climbs you helped add stay for everyone who uses them, no longer linked to you.
- Reports and moderation records, including reports you made or that were made about you, for as long as we need them for safety and legal reasons.
- Emails you sent us, and feedback already emailed to our inbox.
- Database backups keep deleted information for up to 98 days, then it’s gone from those too.
Deleting some things but keeping your account
- Delete a climb, or a whole session, from Sessions in the app.
- Delete a post, comment, message or video from its menu in the app.
- Deleted videos go to Trash for 30 days, and you can restore them from there until then.
- To stop your logbook syncing, sign out in Settings → Account. You choose whether to keep a copy on your phone.
- For anything else, email support@senditbouldering.com.
